In a surprising turn of events, i can actually afford to go to this twenty dollar (!) show this sunday.  However, i haven't been to north six since it made the switch to "the music hall of williamsburg" and i dunno what it's deal is so i'd appreciate a heads up if its now a clear channel/livenation/whatever other shitty organization venue.

Assuming it's not some awful thing and my funds won't be supplying its continuation, i'd also like to know who else plans on attending since, i'm not gunna lie, i was sorely disappointed by the turnout for that peter lorre show back in january.

Edit:  And what i mean by "sorely disappointed by the turnout" isn't that there weren't enough people there, but rather that there weren't enough people there whose company i enjoy to counterbalance the uppity socialites.

It's a Bowery Presents venue.  Any shortcomings can be blamed on Mike Spot.

I'm gonna hunt down a bar to tipple in before the show. I liked the set they did at Webster back in Jan with all the skits and interludes.

Vibe was pretty crummy though, people looked at waltzers and thought we were from mars or something.

Anyone who's up to hang out before/after the show PM me. Will be going with some friends and DEF gonna celebrate 4/20 after the show.

Its Bowery. The whole staff there is awesome, the company is cool, the band gets treated/paid alright, so come support the show.

Not sold out. Buy me a drink. See you there.

they card at the door, and will refuse you entry if your underage. I saw Propagandhi there last month and it was 16+, I had to show my drivers license and they seemed to only glance it at. Don't know how strict they are for 18+ or how carefully they will check IDs for that matter.

My best advice is just skip this one and go the next all ages show. age restricted shows are a downer.

Every Inferno show is all ages. The clubs just don't know it yet.

Very True.

and if all else fails you can always borrow Mermaid Man's Wumbo belt to shrink the bouncers and walk right over them.

Haha, this is all true. I was asking mainly out of curiosity. I'm not sure if I'm still going to be in the area later on that night, but was going to try to make it out if I was and could drag my boyfriend to it.

he could always just hide in a supply closet until the bouncers left and run inside just in time for the call to arms.
