Give yourself room, in this Society of ours, to imagine a world without police, without prisons, without the hate that violence workers of the state enact on the people it deems most deserving. Set your fires safely and watch out for each other, because you know damn well they are watching us. As one our ranks asks: can we not do away with the asshole from Home Alone 2 who lies and sews ignorance on the TV all day?
This is a moment, friends of Friendship. Do it for George Floyd, do it for Tony McDade, do it for Breonna Taylor, just make it happen. We feel the warmth of the fires that need to burn now so that the subjugated can be heard. For our Black, Brown, queer, trans brothers, sisters, and others—we see you, we hear you, we love you, and this Society forever has seats for you.
